Each year we offer several youth theatre spots in our BIV summer camps in Langley. We do this by connecting with the local schools and offering scholarships to students who have barriers to accessing camps. Supporting a youth to join summer camp is very special. These youth build confidence and hopefully join us on the BIV main stage when they are young adults.
Teen Intensive theatre camp July 11-23
This intensive theatre camp is for the young performer who wants to get onto the stage!
Students will experience the full theatrical experience from auditions to rehearsals and culminating in final performances on the BIV Main stage in Douglas Park in front of a live audience!
In the spirit of the Bard, this year our youth camp will be performing The Seussification of Romeo and Juliet! Students will be challenged to extend their dramatic and comedic chops along with work as a team to memorize and perform a one act production.
Classes run at HD stafford July 11-20 weekdays from 9-3. Final performances take place July 21-23 at 7pm at Douglas Park in tandem with Bard In the Valley’s Summer production of Measure for Measure.
Students will be called for 5pm for performances. Performances will be open to all audiences for free with donations greatly accepted.
This is the perfect opportunity for young performers to bridge the gap between school productions and community theatre! Ages 11-17 Registration open now.
